Skála ÍF sat at the top of the table for the first time on the fourth matchday, with the exception of a draw on the second matchday only wins. After the away game at NSÍ Runavík was lost 2-0 on matchday eight , HB Tórshavn was now in first place. They only lost their first game 3-1 at Skála ÍF, which should remain the only defeat in the entire season. This was followed by five wins and two draws. After another seven victories in a row, the championship title was already clear on matchday 15. HB Tórshavn won the top game between first placed HB Tórshavn and B36 Tórshavn , who had previously placed second , with a 1-0 win, which left them unassailable in the lead.

Relegation battle

B68 Toftir consistently took last place from the second match day. In the first 14 games there was not a single win, with the exception of two draws, all games were lost. VB Vágur was only beaten 3-2 away on the 15th matchday, and the next and last victory was achieved in the game. On the penultimate match day, the last chance of relegation was lost with a 2: 4 against EB / Streymur , while the ninth-placed ÍF Fuglafjørður was able to consolidate his place with a 2: 2 against B36 Tórshavn.

After an opening defeat ÍF Fuglafjørður won the second game 4-2 against NSÍ Runavík and achieved the best result of the season with fifth place.
