The Faroese Football Championship 1951 was held in the Meistaradeildin first Faroese league and was the ninth season overall.

Master was TB Tvøroyri , who could win the title for the third time. Defending champion B36 Tórshavn finished in third place.

Compared to the previous season, the goal rate worsened to 2.67 per game, which after 1982 and 1985 meant the third-lowest average in the top division after the introduction of the league game in 1947 . The biggest win achieved KÍ Klaksvík with a 4-0 in the home game against HB Tórshavn . The highest-scoring game was completed by TB Tvøroyri and HB Tórshavn with a 5-2.

Due to VB Vágur's withdrawal from the Meistaradeildin , each team now played twice against each other on six match days. The team with the best points at the end of the season was clear as champions of this league, there was no relegation regulation.

Season course

TB Tvøroyri won all games except for the 1: 2 at KÍ Klaksvík , including the home game against KÍ 1-0. However, KÍ Klaksvík managed just one more win with the 4-0 home win against HB Tórshavn , so that TB was confirmed as champions.
