The Faroese Football Championship in 1943 was the second event in the Faroese Meistaradeildin . The game was played in the knockout system , regionally also in league mode. The champion was determined in two finals, which TB Tvøroyri won for the first time. Defending champion KÍ Klaksvík was eliminated in the semi-finals. It was the championship with the most participating teams.

There were initially four regional qualifications (Eystan, Vestan, Midja and Suðuroy ) held. The modes in the individual regions were very different. While in Eystan three teams determined the semi-final participant in league mode, in Midja and Suðuroy the participants were determined in the knockout system. In Midja there was only one qualifying game between the two applicants there. There were no qualifying matches in Vestan, as there was only one participant who was directly qualified for the semi-finals.

The most extensive qualification was in Suðuroy. There six teams played the semifinal participants in three rounds (preliminary round, regional semi-final, regional final).

The winners of the four regional qualifications then played the champions in two semi-finals and the final.

A total of twelve teams from four regions took part, more than in any other Faroese championship.

In contrast to the championship in 1942, Royn Hvalba , SÍF Sandavágur and SVB Sandvík did not participate this time.
