The Faroese Football Championship in 1953 was held in the Meistaradeildin first Faroese league and was the eleventh season overall.

Champion was defending champion KÍ Klaksvík , who could win the title for the fourth time.

Compared to the previous season, the goal rate worsened to 3.17 per game. TB Tvøroyri scored the highest win in the 6-0 home game against B36 Tórshavn , which was the highest-scoring game in addition to the 4-2 between HB Tórshavn and TB Tvøroyri.

Due to VB Vágur's withdrawal from the Meistaradeildin , each team now played twice against each other on six match days. The team with the best points at the end of the season was clear as champions of this league, there was no relegation regulation.

Season course

KÍ Klaksvík only gave up points in the 2-0 away defeat against TB Tvøroyri , the second leg could be won 2-0. However, since TB lost both games against HB Tórshavn , KÍ Klaksvík secured the championship.
