The Faroese Women's Football Championship 2004 was held in the first Faroese league called 1. Deild and was the 20th season overall. It started on April 25, 2004 and ended on September 18, 2004.

The syndicate GÍ Gøta / B68 Toftir was the 22nd participant in the top division. Champion was defending champion KÍ Klaksvík , who could win the title for the fifth time in a row and for the sixth time overall. KÍ remained free of loss points for the entire season, which otherwise only KÍ had managed in 2003 . However, SÍ Sumba , who withdrew from gaming, had to relegate after two years of first class.

Compared to the previous season, the goal rate improved to 6.80 per game, which was the highest average since the introduction of the 1st Deild in 1985 and has not yet been exceeded. The biggest win achieved KÍ Klaksvík with a 19-0 in the home game against FS Vágar on the fifth matchday, which was also the highest-scoring game.

mode

By reducing to seven teams in 1st Deild and withdrawing from SÍ Sumba , each team now played twice against each other on ten match days. The team with the best points at the end of the season was determined to be the champions of this league, in the event of a tie, the direct comparison decided.

Season course

KÍ Klaksvík and B36 Tórshavn dueled for the championship . After both teams were able to win their first four games, KÍ prevailed on matchday seven in a direct duel with 2-1 against B36. Since both teams were also able to play the other games victoriously, the championship was only decided on the last day of the game, when both teams met again. Here KÍ Klaksvík prevailed 4-2 against B36 Tórshavn away and did not give up a single point during the season.

Since SÍ Sumba withdrew from the game, the relegated was thus determined.
