The Faroese Women's Football Championship in 2008 was held in the first Faroese league called 1. Deild and was the 24th season overall. It started on April 2, 2008 and ended on September 20, 2008.

The promoted Skála ÍF and VB / Sumba returned after five and twelve years respectively in the top division, Víkingur Gøta was the 25th participant of this through the merger of GÍ Gøta with LÍF Leirvík . Champion was defending champion KÍ Klaksvík , who could win the title for the ninth time in a row and for the tenth time overall. On the other hand, B36 Tórshavn had to relegate for the first time as a founding member of the 1st Deild , which withdrew from gaming, and VB / Sumba after a year of first class.

Compared to the previous season, the goal rate improved to 4.63 per game. Skála ÍF achieved the highest victory with a 10-0 home game against VB / Sumba on matchday 17, which was also the highest-scoring game.
