The Faroese women's football championship in 1995 was held in the first Faroese league called 1. Deild and was the eleventh season overall. It started on May 5, 1995 with ÍF Fuglafjørður's game against NSÍ Runavík and ended on October 14, 1995.
Sumba / VB was by the merger of SÍ Sumba with VB Vágur the 16th participant in the top division, promoted NSÍ Runavík returned after five years in this. Champion was defending champion HB Tórshavn , who were able to win the title for the third time in a row and for the sixth time overall. However, NSÍ Runavík had to relegate after a year of first class.
Compared to the previous season, the goal rate improved to 4.60 per game, which was the highest average since the introduction of the 1st Deild in 1985 . The highest victories were achieved with a 11: 0 HB Tórshavn in the home game against KÍ Klaksvík on the third matchday and B36 Tórshavn in the home match against NSÍ Runavík on the 14th matchday Matchday was the highest-scoring games.

Championship decision
B36 Tórshavn was at the top of the table from the second to the fifth match day, with the first loss of points on the fifth match day in a 1-1 draw in the city derby against HB Tórshavn . After a 2-2 on the next matchday in the home game against KÍ Klaksvík , Skála ÍF took first place with five wins, the only defeat they conceded on the third matchday at 1: 3 in the home game against B36 Tórshavn. But on the seventh matchday, HB Tórshavn was able to regain the lead with a 6-1 home game against Skála, with B36 tied behind them. On matchday ten, however, HB lost 2-1 away to KÍ Klaksvík, which in turn was able to take advantage of B36, but on the following matchday, both teams changed places again after B36's 0-0 at EB Eiði . In the direct duel on matchday 12, HB Tórshavn triumphed 3-0 against B36 Tórshavn and increased the gap to four points. HB remained unbeaten until the end of the season and retained the top position. Since B36 also remained unbeaten in the other games, the direct duel on matchday 19 ended 2-2, the championship decision was not made until the last matchday. On this B36 won 7-0 at NSÍ Runavík . Since HB was also able to win 4-1 in the home game against Skála ÍF, HB celebrated the next championship.
Relegation battle
ÍF Fuglafjørður was consistently in last place from the fifth match day, the first win came on the twelfth matchday with a 2-1 home game against EB Eiði. After two more victories on the 14th and 15th matchdays, the teams from Sumba / VB and NSÍ Runavík were able to catch up. Sumba / VB celebrated their first win on the sixth matchday with a 3-2 home win against NSÍ, NSÍ again on the eighth matchday with a 3-0 home game against ÍF. On the 17th matchday Sumba / VB won the duel against ÍF 2-1 and NSÍ was able to pull away on three points with a 3-1 away win against EB Eiði. A 3-1 home win by Sumba / VB against KÍ Klaksvík increased the gap to ÍF to six points. The final salvation for Sumba / VB was completed on Matchday 19 by 0-0 at Skála ÍF, while both NSÍ and ÍF lost their last games. This did not change on the 20th matchday, so that the final matchday had to bring the decision. NSÍ Runavík lost his home game 7-0 against B36 Tórshavn. ÍF Fuglafjørður won the away game against KÍ Klaksvík 2-0 and drew level on points, but had the significantly better goal difference, so that relegation was avoided.
