The 2017 Faroese Football Championship was held in the first Faroese league called 1. Deild and was the 33rd season overall. It started on March 12, 2017 and ended on October 7, 2017.

AB Argir / B71 Sandur was the 30th participant in the top division through the merger of AB Argir and B71 Sandur . Master was EB / Streymur / Skála , who could win the title for the first time. Defending champion KÍ Klaksvík landed in second place, which ended the series of 18 championships in a row.
