The Faroese Women's Football Championship 2003 was held in the 1st Deild called first Faroese league and was the 19th season overall. It started on April 11, 2003 with B36 Tórshavn's game against HB Tórshavn and ended on September 20, 2003.
The promoted AB Argir , EB / Streymur and SÍ Sumba returned after two and B71 Sandur after a year back in the top division, FS Vágar was the 21st participant in this. Champion was defending champion KÍ Klaksvík , who could win the title for the fourth time in a row and for the fifth time overall. KÍ remained free of loss points for the entire season, which otherwise only KÍ had managed in 2004 . However, HB Tórshavn had to relegate for the first time as a founding member of 1. Deild and B71 Sandur after a year of first class, both of which withdrew from gaming.
Compared to the previous season, the goal rate improved to 6.03 per game, which after 2004 meant the second highest average since the introduction of the 1st Deild in 1985 . The highest victory achieved KÍ Klaksvík by an 18-0 in the home game against AB Argir on matchday 14, which was also the highest-scoring game.
mode
With the increase to ten teams in the 1st Deild and the withdrawal of B71 Sandur , each team now played twice against each other on 16 match days, there was no longer a division into preliminary and final round. The team with the best points at the end of the season was determined to be the champions of this league, in the event of a tie, the direct comparison decided.
Season course
KÍ Klaksvík dominated the season and did not give up a single point. B68 Toftir was able to keep up until the seventh matchday, but in the direct duel on the following matchday they were clearly behind with 1: 8 away. Since B68 only surrendered further points in the 2-2 away game against HB Tórshavn on matchday 14 in the following games , the decision about the championship was not made until the penultimate matchday. In the second leg against KÍ, B68 Toftir lost 6-1 in front of their home crowd, so that KÍ Klaksvík could not be overtaken.
Since HB Tórshavn and B71 Sandur withdrew from the game, the relegated team were determined.
