Petra Sjóstein (born July 21, 1984 ) is a former Faroese soccer player .

With the exception of the 2008 season, Sjóstein played her entire career with KÍ Klaksvík . In 1999 she came at the age of 15 for the first time in the top division when she came on in the 7-2 home win against VB Vágur on the twelfth match day in the 85th minute. The following year she reached the double of championship and cup , Sjóstein was not used in the 2-0 final win against HB Tórshavn . At that time she played alongside Rannvá Biskopstø Andreasen , Malena Josephsen , Annelisa Justesen , Bára Skaale Klakstein and Ragna Biskopstø Patawary . In the first few years she only played a few games, only in 2002 she was one of the regular players. In 2008 Sjóstein moved to B36 Tórshavn for a year and was one of the regulars there again. After returning to KÍ Klaksvík, she sat out for a year in 2010 and played one last game for the club in 2011. In total, she achieved eight championships and four cup wins, including together with Randi S. Wardum and Olga Kristina Hansen .

European Cup

For KI, she played four games in the UEFA Women's Cup . She came to her first use in 2002/03 in the preliminary round in the 7-0 defeat by Umeå IK . The last game she played in 2003/04 in the 8-0 defeat in the preliminary round against Fulham LFC .

National team

In 2002 Sjóstein played three European Championship qualifiers for the U-19 team in their country. It was not considered for the senior national team .
