society

Klakstein has been with KÍ Klaksvík since she was a teenager . At the age of 15 she made her debut in the first division in 1988 in the 3-0 away defeat by GÍ Gøta . Klakstein scored her first goal a year later on matchday one in a 5-2 home win against EB Eiði when she scored 1-0. In 1995 she took a one-year break as a player for the coaching position, after which she returned and lost the cup final against HB Tórshavn 1: 3. The following year the cup final was their only game of the season, which this time was lost 5-1 to B36 Tórshavn . In 2000 the double from the championship and the cup was achieved by beating HB Tórshavn in the 2-0 final. Klakstein played regularly for the club until 2007, a year later she only played once in the league, and in 2009 she paused completely. After she returned at the end of 2010, she was immediately one of the club's regulars. So far, she has won 16 championship titles and twelve cup wins. Her teammates included Rannvá Andreasen , Olga Kristina Hansen , Malena Josephsen , Annelisa Justesen , Eyðvør Klakstein , Ragna Patawary and Randi Wardum . After the 2016 season, she ended her career.

European Cup

For the UEFA Women's Champions League Klakstein played 39 games, the first of which in 2001/02 in the preliminary round in a 2-1 win over USC Landhaus Wien . For the national team of the Faroe Islands she was used a total of 20 times, for the first time in 1996 in two international matches. She made her debut on May 25th in the European Championship qualifier against Scotland , which was lost 3-0 in Toftir . At halftime score of 0-1, Klakstein was replaced by Eyðvør úr Dímun . After a break of eight years in which the national team did not play, she was the only player next to Sólvá Joensen who was back in the squad. With her eleventh appearance in a row she was thus on November 7, 2007 in the 3-0 victory in the friendly against Latvia in Panevėžys to the sole record player. Since there were no further assignments at first, she was replaced on May 15, 2008 by Malena Josephsen , Rannvá Biskopstø Andreasen and Randi Wardum . It was not until 2011 that Klakstein was taken into account again and played all three games that year. In 2012 and 2013 she then played four games, in which her daughter Eyðvør was also on the team. The last of their games took place on September 26, 2013 in Wrocław as part of the World Cup qualification and was lost 6-0 to Poland .
