The Faroese Women's Football Championship 2010 was held in the 1. Deild called first Faroese league and was overall the 26th season. It started on April 1, 2010 and ended on October 2, 2010.
Promoted MB Miðvágur returned to the top division after 18 years. Champion was defending champion KÍ Klaksvík , who could win the title for the eleventh time in a row and for the twelfth time overall. However, EB / Streymur and MB Miðvágur had to relegate after two and one year respectively.
Compared to the previous season, the goal rate improved to 4.93 per game, which was the highest average since 2006 . The highest victory achieved KÍ Klaksvík by a 14-0 in the away game against MB Miðvágur on the first day of the game, which was also the highest-scoring game.

Championship decision
From the first to the last matchday, KÍ Klaksvík was in first place without interruption. The strongest competitor, AB Argir , was beaten 3-0 at home on the second matchday, while KÍ also won the second match 3-1 on matchday eight. On the twelfth match day, the duel between the two teams ended 3: 3, by which time KÍ Klaksvík was already seven points ahead. This could be held until the end, so that the decision for the championship was made on matchday 18. AB Argir won 10-1 away against MB Miðvágur , but KÍ secured the championship with a 12-0 home game against Víkingur Gøta .
Relegation battle
EB / Streymur and MB Miðvágur consistently took penultimate and last place respectively. The first point was for both teams in a 1-1 draw on matchday four in a direct duel against each other. On matchday eight, EB / Streymur won for the first time in a 2-0 away win against Víkingur Gøta, while MB should remain without a win for the entire season. Already on matchday 15 and the 3-0 home defeat against EB / Streymur, the relegation of MB Miðvágur was certain. At EB / Streymur the decision was made on the penultimate matchday. Due to the 2-0 away defeat against fourth-placed Víkingur Gøta, the deficit could no longer be made up.

The group was thus finished in third place.
