The Faroese women's football championship in 1993 was held in the first Faroese league called 1. Deild and was the ninth season overall. It started on May 9, 1993 and ended on September 26, 1993.
Promoted GÍ Gøta returned after two years in the top division. Champion HB Tórshavn , which could thus win the title for the fourth time. Defending champion Skála ÍF finished in sixth place. However, GÍ Gøta had to relegate after a year of first class.
Compared to the previous season, the goal rate worsened to 2.86 per game, which was the lowest average since the introduction of the 1st Deild in 1985 and has not yet been undercut. VB Vágur scored the highest victory with an 8-0 in the home game against GÍ Gøta on matchday eight, which was also the highest-scoring game.

Championship decision
Both B36 Tórshavn and HB Tórshavn each won their first four games. On the fifth match day, HB sat at the top of the table in a direct duel with a 2-1 home win over B36. The lead was not given up by two 0: 1 defeats in the away games against VB Vágur and KÍ Klaksvík on the eighth and ninth matchdays, as B36 lost 2-1 to VB on the sixth matchday and further points with two draws let. Up to the last matchday HB won the remaining games. The decision for the championship was made on the penultimate day of play with a 2-1 away win by HB Tórshavn against Skála ÍF , so that VB Vágur could not make up the gap of three points.
Relegation battle
SÍ Sumba found himself at the bottom of the table at the beginning of the season. With a 1-0 home win against Skála ÍF, sixth place could be occupied for a short time on matchday three, after which the team oscillated between the penultimate and last place. On the ninth game day succeeded by a 2-1 win in the home game against VB Vágur the next double point win, whereupon the gap to the now last placed GÍ Gøta could be increased. They had to wait until the tenth match day for their second victory. After the 5-0 win on matchday two against EB Eiði , B36 Tórshavn was defeated 1-0 at home, so that the team was again level on points with SÌ Sumba. On the eleventh day of the match, the two teams drew 1: 1 in a direct duel in Sumba. On the next two game days, the penultimate and last lost their games, so that the last game day had to bring the decision about relegation. SÍ Sumba couldn't get past 0-0 at EB Eiði. Despite being in the lead in the meantime, GÍ Gøta managed only one draw with a 1-1 draw at HB Tórshavn, so that GÍ had to be relegated when the goal difference was worse.
