The Tippeligaen 1994 was the 50th season of the highest Norwegian football league and the fourth season under the name Tippeligaen . The season began on April 16, 1994 and ended on October 16, 1994.

Twelve teams played against each other in the league in a simple round-trip, so that each team played 22 games. Only the last two placed had to be relegated. There were no relegation games as the league was expanded to 14 clubs in 1995.

Season course
Rosenborg BK won the Norwegian championship for the third time in a row. It was also the ninth championship for Rosenborg BK. They set Fredrikstad FK's record . Since the fifth matchday they have been at the top of the table. On the third from last game day they secured the championship early. The team from Molde FK from the 1st division won the cup competition . The newly promoted Sogndal IL and Strømsgodset IF had to relegate to the 1st division again after only one season. In contrast, Vålerenga IF could hold in the Tippeligaen .
