Season course
Rosenborg Trondheim won the Norwegian championship for the twentieth time.
At the beginning of the season everything was very even: there were six different championship leaders on the first six match days. Then Lillestrøm and Brann Bergen set themselves apart from the competition. By the end of the preliminary round, Brann had a lead of up to six points over Lillestrøm. During the second half of the season, Rosenborg Trondheim came closer to the two leaders. With a winning streak of nine games between the 14th and 22nd game day, they then took the lead. They secured the championship on the penultimate matchday, as they had six points and 15 goals ahead of Brann Bergen.
