The Adeccoligaen 2006 was the 44th season of the second highest Norwegian football league and the second under the name Adeccoligaen . The season started on April 8th and ended on November 5th, 2006.

Master Strømsgodset IF and the second Aalesunds FK managed to get promoted back to the Tippeligaen. The third-placed Bryne FK still had the chance in the relegation against the third from bottom of the Tippeligaen , but clearly lost this duel in two games.

The last four teams Pors Grenland, Manglerud Star, Follo Fotball and IL Hødd were relegated to the 2nd division .
