The Adeccoligaen 2008 was the 46th season of the second highest Norwegian football league and the fourth under the name Adeccoligaen . The season started on April 4th and ended on November 1st, 2008.

In the Tippeligaen , the number of teams for the 2009 season was increased from fourteen to sixteen teams. Therefore, in this season, champions Odd Grenland , Sandefjord Fotball and Start Kristiansand rose three clubs from the Adeccoligaen to the Tippeligaen, while Sandnes Ulf and IL Hødd only had two relegated teams to the fair play leagues .
