The Ligue 1 2005/06 was the 68th season of the top French football league. The season began on July 29, 2005 with the opening game Paris Saint-Germain against FC Metz (4-1) and ended on May 13, 2006.

As in the previous year, Olympique Lyon dominated the league and won champions three game days before the end of the season.
