Jérémy Berthod (born April 24, 1984 in Tassin la Demi Lune ) is a former French football player .

Career

society

Berthod comes from the talent factory of Olympique Lyon . In the 2003/04 season he was the first time in the club's professional squad. His first season was also his most successful, when he played a total of 27 games. With the East French, he was able to win a total of four French championships. Among his greatest successes include the championship title in the Ligue 1 and winning the French Cup between 2004 and 2006 with Lyon. In the summer of 2007, Berthod moved to league rivals AS Monaco for two million euros . After only one year and a total of twelve league appearances, he turned his back on the Monegasque and signed a new contract with league competitor AJ Auxerre . After four years he moved on to Sarpsborg 08 FF and ended his career there in January 2015.

National team

Berthod was a U-21 selection player and was part of the French national team during the 2006 European Championship in Portugal. He played three out of four games.

Trainer

Since 2017, Berthod has been working as a trainer of various ages in the youth academy of Olympique Lyon .
