Sylvain Monsoreau (born March 20, 1981 , Saint-Cyr-l'École , France ) is a French football player in the position of defender. He is currently under contract with AS Saint-Étienne of Ligue 1 .
Career
Monsoreau's football career began at FC Sochaux in the French second division, with which he was promoted to Ligue 1 in 2001. After six seasons he moved to Olympique Lyon in the summer of 2005 , but joined AS Monaco a year later . In 2008 he moved to league rivals AS Saint-Étienne .
