Division 1 1992/93

The Division 1 1993/94 was the 56th season of professional French football league. The season began on July 23, 1993 with the opening game between FC Nantes Atlantique and AS Monaco (1-0) and ended on May 21, 1994.

As the climbers arrived FC Martigues , SCO Angers and AS Cannes from Division 2 to do so. The season as champions ended Paris Saint-Germain . The qualification for the UEFA Champions League managed Paris (qualification). Olympique Marseille , Girondins Bordeaux , FC Nantes and AS Cannes qualified for the UEFA Cup . AJ Auxerre secured participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup of the following year through the Coupe de France . FC Toulouse , SCO Angers and, as a result of the bribery scandal of 1993, Olympique Marseille had to relegate to Division 2 .
