Didier Tholot (born April 2, 1964 in Feurs ) is a former French football player and coach .

Coaching career

Tholot began his coaching career on July 1, 2002 as a player-coach at the Swiss football club Vevey . After a successful season, Tholot returned to the traditional Swiss club Sion in the summer of 2003 as a player-coach . The association did not accept Tholots' French diploma, however, whereupon he had to leave the club after only one season. In his homeland, Tholot Libourne Saint-Seurin led the second highest league ( Ligue 2 ) before relegation followed.

Tholot then signed with Reims in the summer of 2008 . However, he was terminated prematurely on December 25, 2008. On April 14, 2009 Didier Tholot was announced as the coach of FC Sion . He signed a contract for two seasons in May 2009. On May 21, 2010 it was announced that Tholot's contract with FC Sion would be terminated. He then worked for the French second division team La Berrichonne Châteauroux for more than three years , where his work also came to an early end at the end of October 2013. In December 2014, Tholot signed a coaching contract with FC Sion for the third time. The contract lasts until the end of the 2014/2015 season. After a mutual exchange on August 12, 2016, Christian Constantin and Didier Tholot decided by mutual agreement to end their collaboration.
