The OGC Nice (fully: Olympique Gymnaste Club de Nice Côte d'Azur ) is a French football club from Nice in the Alpes-Maritimes department . It was founded in 1904 as the Gymnaste Club de Nice and from 1908 also had a football department. In 1924, Le Gym , as the club is still called today, merged with the Gallia Football Athlétic Club de Nice and was henceforth called OGC. The club colors are black and red. In May 2013, the club had a new logo.
The first soccer team played at the Stade du Ray from 1965 to 2013 , after which they moved to the newly built Allianz Riviera multifunctional stadium . President is Jean-Pierre Rivère. For the 2018/19 season , Patrick Vieira will take over the league as head coach.
August 2019 the chemical company Ineos , whose CEO is Jim Ratcliffe , took over the club.
