The 1973/74 UEFA Cup was the third edition of the competition and was won by Feyenoord Rotterdam in the final against Tottenham Hotspur . The competition, in which 64 club teams took part, as in the previous year, was played in six rounds in home and return matches. In the event of a tie, the number of goals scored away first decided, followed by overtime and a penalty shoot-out.

The most successful German teams this season were VfB Stuttgart and 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig , both of which made it to the semi-finals, but failed because of the eventual winners Feyenoord and Tottenham Hotspur.
