Robert "Roby" Langers (* 1. August 1960 in Luxembourg ) is a former Luxembourg Football - national team .

Player career

In 18 years as a professional footballer, Robert Langers played for a total of thirteen clubs in Luxembourg, Germany, France and Switzerland.

His career began at Union Luxemburg , where he was the top scorer in the national division with 26 goals in the 1979/80 season . He then moved to the Bundesliga for Borussia Mönchengladbach , where he only made three appearances in two years. From 1982 to 1992 he played with varying degrees of success in France, mostly with lower-class clubs. From 1992 to 1994 he played in Switzerland for Yverdon-Sport FC and Étoile Carouge , before returning to Germany for two years in 1994 for Eintracht Trier , where he played in the third-rate regional league West / Southwest . He then returned to Luxembourg for the F91 Dudelange and a season later to Union Luxembourg where he ended his career in 1998.

National team

For the Luxembourg national team Roby Langers played a total of 73 international matches between 1980 and 1998, in which he scored eight goals.
