Danel Sinani (* 5. April 1997 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Luxembourg national football team with Serbian origin. He has been under contract with Norwich City in England since summer 2020 .

Career

Sinani played for FC Differdange 03 until 2012 and then moved on to RFC Union Luxembourg , with whom he was Luxembourg U19 champion in 2014 and 2015 and also U19 cup winner in 2015. From 2014 he was used 62 times (12 goals) in the BGL Ligue and an honorary doctorate for the RFC Union Luxembourg.

For the 2017/18 season Sinani switched to the champions and cup winners F91 Dudelange . With F91 Dudelange he managed to defend his title; in the following season they were eliminated in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League and qualified for the group stage Europa League 2018/19 .

In 2019 he won the double and Sinani was able to qualify again for the Europa League . There he scored four goals in five group games, two of them in the 4-3 away win over APOEL Nicosia and in the 2-5 home defeat against Sevilla FC .

On April 2, 2020 it was announced that Sinani will join the English club Norwich City for three years from the coming season .

National team

Sinani played for the Luxembourg national football team for the first time on September 3, 2017 in the away game in the World Cup qualification against France (0-0) in Toulouse . He came on in the 58th minute for Daniel Da Mota . Sinani has now scored three goals in 20 appearances, all of which came in the 2018/19 UEFA Nations League .

His brother Dejvid Sinani (born April 2, 1993) is also a soccer player and has been under contract with the Luxembourg first division club CS Fola Esch since 2018 .
