David Turpel (born October 19, 1992 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg national football player who will play for Swift Hesperingen in the BGL Ligue from summer 2020 .

Career

Turpel played for Etzella Ettelbrück in his youth and became Luxembourg champions in the 2010/11 season with the U19s.

Active area

After his debut in the BGL Ligue in spring 2011, Turpel and Etzella Ettelbrück descended into the second-rate honorary doctorate . The following year, which ended with an immediate resurgence, he was top scorer with 22 goals. After two more seasons in Ettelbrück, the striker moved to league competitor F91 Dudelange in summer 2014 . In 2017/18 he became the top scorer in the BGL Ligue for the first time with 33 goals.

In the summer of 2019, Turpel followed his coach Dino Toppmöller and several other F91 players to the Belgian second division club Royal Excelsior Virton . But just a year later, after Virton had not received a license for the new 2020/21 season, he returned to Luxembourg and signed a contract with Swift Hesperingen .

European Cup

For the F91 Dudelange he played eight games (1 goal) in the Champions League qualification and six games (4 goals) in the qualification for the Europa League. Turpel took part in the group stage of the Europa League in 2018/19 with Dudelange and played all six games. He scored the interim 2-1 for his club in the 2: 5 away defeat at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium against AC Milan .

National team

So far he has played 51 international matches for Luxembourg and scored his first of six goals in the European Championship qualifier on October 9, 2014 in Macedonia (2: 3).
