Nico Braun (born October 26, 1950 in Luxembourg ) is a former Luxembourg soccer player who played as a center forward .
At the age of 20, Braun moved from Union Luxemburg to the German Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 , where he played a total of 36 Bundesliga games from 1971 to 1973. He then moved to France for FC Metz , where he scored 96 goals in 170 league games. During his time in Metz, he formed a storm duo for two seasons with the Argentine Hugo Curioni , nicknamed "Les artilleurs de Metz".
After a stopover at the Belgian club SC Charleroi , Braun moved to the French second division club FC Thionville . He then let his career end at Union Luxemburg, where he had already played in his youth.
He played 31 games for the Luxembourg national team , in which he scored six goals. If one also includes games against B and amateur national teams from other associations, he played a total of 40 international matches in which he scored nine goals.
