After relegation in 1995, the club was passed through to the third class 1st division, managed to get promoted again immediately and returned to the BGL Ligue in 2001. At the end of the 2011/12 season, Swift barely missed direct relegation and ended the season in twelfth place. In the barrage game against third place in the honorary doctorate FC Wiltz 71, Swift surprisingly lost 2: 6 and was relegated again. The immediate ascent and the immediate descent followed.

At the end of 2018 it was rumored that the sports patron and real estate broker Flavio Becca would end his involvement with series champion F91 Dudelange and become involved with Swift in the future. These indications condensed in April 2019.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the Luxembourg Football Association interrupted the current season on March 12, 2020. At the time of the interruption, Swift led the table of the honorary doctorate after the 15th game day.
