The FC Atert Bisen is a Luxembourg football club from bites .
The club plays its home games on the ZAC Klengbousbierg Terrain , which opened in 2019 and has a capacity of 1,500 .
history
The club was founded in 1917 under the name FC Jeunesse Bissen and was initially dissolved in 1923. In 1929 it was re-established as Red Star Bissen , which in turn was dissolved in 1934. FC 42 Bissen was founded in 1942 and received its current club name on June 2, 1946.
Initially, the club never played higher than third rate until 2007, when it was promoted to an honorary doctorate for the first time . After two seasons he was relegated to the 1st division. In 2012, the rise was missed by a 0-1 defeat in the barrage game against CS Oberkorn , the 12th of the honorary doctorate. For the 2016/17 season, he was promoted to the honorary doctorate for the second time, which ended in 13th place and direct relegation to the 1st division. Promotion number three followed just a year later.
After a passable start to the 2018/19 season , the team only managed one victory after the 11th matchday until the end of the season, so that Bissen had to play a relegation game to stay in class. Due to a 1: 3 defeat after extra time against the Yellow Boys Weiler-la-Tour , the second in the 1st division, 2nd district, Atert Bissen had to leave the second highest division after only one season.
Cup competitions
In the Coupe de Luxembourg they reached the quarter-finals in 2012/13 as a third division team, where they lost 2-0 to FC Differdange 03 .
Women's team
The women's team of the club celebrated the national championship title in 1973 and 1974. In the 2017/18 season, the team played as Entente Lintgen-Bissen in the first division until the winter break and then withdrew the team from play.
