Flavio Becca

Flavio Becca (born June 18, 1962 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourg real estate investor and patron . Becca is considered one of the richest Luxembourgers. He became known to a wider public as a patron of F91 Dudelange and as a guarantor and potential investor of 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

Life

Becca grew up as the son of Italian immigrants in Hesperingen, Luxembourg , and lives in Luxembourg.

In the 1990s Becca began sponsoring the Luxembourg soccer club F91 Dudelange . During Becca's engagement, Dudelange managed to win 15 Luxembourg championship titles as well as the first-time participation of a Luxembourg team in the UEFA Europa League in the 2018/19 season.

In 2011 Becca founded the professional cycling team Leopard Trek with his company Leopard SA . In 2018 he became a major sponsor of the Belgian third division club Excelsior Virton .

In 2019 he agreed on a cooperation with 1. FC Kaiserslautern . As requested by Becca, the chairman of the supervisory board and advisory board member Michael Littig resigned from his association offices. Becca initially granted the FCK a guarantee of 2.6 million euros, which will later be converted into equity. Becca said that he wanted to invest a total of 25 million euros in the club over the next five years. Klaus Toppmöller , former goalscorer of 1. FC Kaiserslautern, is Becca's advisor.

Suspected tax evasion

Flavio Becca may have been involved in several criminal investigations.

Media reported at the beginning of 2019 that Becca was suspected of money laundering in the wake of a "luxury watches" scandal.

In 2019, the Belgian newspaper Sudinfo published an allegation that various investigations were in progress against Flavio Becca. In 2011, police raided his home and office.

His real estate transactions were examined by the Luxembourg public prosecutor on suspicion of tax evasion.
