National successes

The 2008/09 season ended the club as 12th in the honorary doctorate and thus had to compete in a barrack game against the runner-up in the 1st division of the 1st district (3rd division) Jeunesse Schieren . The 2009/2010 season closed the club after a radical makeover of the players in the 4th place in the 1st division, 2nd district.

In 2012, Mertert-Wasserbillig was relegated to the fourth-class 2nd division as the penultimate, only to find himself in the 1st division a year later thanks to renewed promotion. The previous relegation game was won 3-1 against FC 47 Bastendorf in Consdorf . After a 6: 5 penalty shoot-out in the barrage game against FC 72 Erpeldingen , UMW rose again to the honorary doctorate at the end of the 2015/16 season after a seven-year absence.
