The Ligue 2 2010/11 was the 72th staging of the second highest French football league . The season began on August 6, 2010 and ended on May 27, 2011. Second division champions were FC Évian Thonon Gaillard . The team managed to march through with the second promotion in a row from the third to Ligue 1 .

As relegated from Ligue 1 , UC Le Mans (which was renamed Le Mans FC at the beginning of the season ), US Boulogne and Grenoble Foot were added, while FC Évian Thonon Gaillard , Stade de Reims and ES Troyes AC rose from the third division .
