The Stade Francis Le Basser is a football stadium of the French city of Laval in the Mayenne region Pays de la Loire . The Stade Laval football club plays its home games here.
history
In 1902, the year the club was founded, they played on the Champ de Croix ( German: Kreuzfeld . In the 1930s, a venue named Stade Jean Yvinec was built , named in honor of a young club player who had died at the age of 26. 1971 got the Stadium then got its current name after the then mayor of Laval Francis Le Basser . The capacity increased from 11,000 to 20,000 seats in 1978. Today the stadium has 18,607 seats, of which 10,607 seats. The floodlight system has 972 lux . 600 parking spaces are available at the nearby exhibition center The attendance record was set on August 24, 1979. The game Stade Laval against AS Saint-Étienne (2: 3) came 20,849 spectators.
In the 2001/02 season, some modifications took place in order to comply with the provisions of the French league association Ligue de Football Professionnel . The athletics facility was removed and a new north stand was built. In 2007 the four old ticket offices were replaced by nine new sales stands.
