The sole height is 531 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Spessart in the Bavarian district of Main-Spessart .

The sole height lies between the places Sackenbach and Langenprozelten . At their summit is on the district of Neuendorf the upper reservoir of the pumped storage power plant Langenprozelten . The Sohlhöhe offers a view to the north of the heights of the northern Spessart up to the Rhön . A viewing platform with a panorama board and summit cross was therefore set up on the north side of the upper basin. In the north the Sohlhöhe is bounded by the valley of the Sindersbach , in the west by that of the Lehngrundbach and in the southeast by that of the Main . To the east, the Köhlersberg (459 m) is flat . The Sackenbach rises on its southern slopes .
