The Stade Parsemain is located in the municipality of Fos-sur-Mer about 15 km south of Istres , Arrondissement Istres . It is the home stadium of FC Istres and has space for 17,468 spectators (12,968 seats). It was opened on April 9, 2005 with the game FC Istres against FC Sochaux (2-0) in front of 7,397 spectators (record number of visitors). This was half a year later than planned in order to comply with the regulations for Ligue 1 .
