The Stade de la Liberation is a football stadium with an athletics facility in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the Pas-de-Calais department in the northernmost region of France ( Hauts-de-France ). The US Boulogne football club has its sporting home here. Another user of the stadium is the Boulogne Athlétique Club . Construction began in October 1949, but the sports facility was not opened until July 1, 1956.

After the promotion to the second division in 2007 , some construction work was necessary.

  • Expansion of audience capacity
  • Stronger floodlights
  • Renewal of the sanitary facilities
  • Television broadcasting facilities
  • Renovation of the players' cabins

After this renovation, the stadium had 8,700 seats. With the rise of US Boulogne to Ligue 1 in May 2009 , the arena was expanded again to accommodate 15,004 spectators. Today it offers 15,204 seats.
