The Ligue 2 2014/15 was the 76th staging of the second highest French football league . The season began on August 1, 2014 and ended on May 22, 2015. ES Troyes AC became second division champions .

FC Sochaux , FC Valenciennes and AC Ajaccio were relegated from Ligue 1 , while US Orléans and Gazélec FC Ajaccio rose from the third division . The league association LFP refused the license to Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées , who was also qualified in sport , because he was not “ready” for professional gaming financially and in the absence of a suitable stadium; instead, the relegated LB Châteauroux subsequently received approval to remain in L2. Luzenac, however, entered the seventh-class Division d'Honneur Régionale in 2014/15 with his reserve team, which was renamed the first team .
