Nicolas Fauvergue (born October 13, 1984 in Béthune ) is a French football player who is under contract with AC Ajaccio in Ligue 2 .
Career
society
In his youth, the striker played at RC Lens until 2001, before moving to Lille OSC in the summer of 2001 . From 2002 he was a member of Lille's reserve squad in the CFA . By 2009 he played 86 times for the reserve team and scored 41 goals.
On October 18, 2003 he came to his first appearance in professional football, he was substituted in for the game against AC Ajaccio . By 2009 he ran a total of 101 times for the Lille OSC in Ligue 1 , where he was substituted on or off in 92 games. He scored eleven goals. He also made nine appearances and four goals in the Coupe de France de football and Coupe de la Ligue , played ten times in the UEFA Champions League , where he scored three goals, and four times in the UEFA Cup , where he scored one goal . In 2004 Fauvergue won the UEFA Intertoto Cup with Lille , and in 2005 he was runner-up in France.
When Lille's coach Rudi Garcia no longer took him into account in his planning in 2009, Fauvergue moved to the second division Racing Strasbourg and after its relegation twelve months later to the league competitor CS Sedan . In the 2012/13 season he was again under contract with a first division club - the newly promoted Stade Reims . Twelve months later, however, the red and whites gave him on loan to FC Metz returning to the second division .
National team
Fauvergue appeared nine times for the French U-21 national team , scoring two goals. He celebrated his greatest success in 2005 when he won the Toulon tournament with France .
