Flaring device

A flaring bell is a special tool in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning systems for flanging copper connections on air conditioning units .

description

A flaring bell has different clamping jaws (6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18 and 22 mm), which correspond to the sizes of the copper pipes used.

To create a flare , a flare nut is pushed over the pipe and then the pipe is clamped with the appropriate clamping jaw. In the second step, the bell is turned at the top so that a cone screws into the copper pipe. Then pull the right pin on the bell and turn the bell two or three more times to smooth the flange and thus create a clean, smooth connection. A flare connection withstands operating pressures of up to 40 bar for refrigerants.
