Status: end of career

Toifilou Maoulida (born June 8, 1979 in Kani-Kéli , Mayotte ) is a former French football player .

Career

society

Maoulida started his career in 1997 at Montpellier HSC . After four years he moved to Stade Rennes and also played a loan season at FC Metz . In 2005 he then went to AS Monaco , where he could not prevail. Therefore, he was loaned to Olympique Marseille , where he was more successful.

In 22 games he scored eleven goals and prepared 13 goals. In addition, he developed a new way of cheering. After each goal he scored, he pulled a piece of paper from his socket with a specific message on it. For example: “I am proud to be a Marseilles”, or “For my mother and father, whom I like very much”. Because of his good performance, Olympique Marseille drew the option to buy Toifilou Mauolida and signed him for the next three years.

The 2006/07 season was not so successful for the man from Mayotte, as he only got nine goals in over 40 games. For this reason he moved to AJ Auxerre for the 2007/08 season , where he again worked with his former coach Jean Fernandez . But after only one goal in a total of 15 games for the Burgundians, he moved to RC Lens in January 2008 . When the northern French were relegated to the second division in 2011 , he signed a contract with SC Bastia . From 2014 to 2016 he played for Olympique Nimes and in the 2016/17 season for FC Tours . Here he ended his active career in the summer of 2017
