Albert Gemmrich (born February 13, 1955 in Haguenau ) is a former French football player.

Career

Albert Gemmrich started playing football in the youth division of Racing Strasbourg . After he had played regularly for the amateur league team of AS Mutzig in the 1972/73 season , Racing brought him to his professional team. In his first season he only came to 16 missions (seven hits). It was only from the next season that he became a regular player. In 1979 he celebrated winning the French championship with the Alsatians. That season he came to 38 missions in which Gemmrich scored 17 goals.

Then he went to Girondins Bordeaux . In his first two years, Gemmrich came to the Aquitaine on many assignments. In his first season on 38 and in his second season 33 appearances (12 and 14 hits). In his last season in Bordeaux, he only came to 23 missions, in this he still came to nine hits.

In 1982 Gemmrich went to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and joined the Lille OSC . Gemmrich could not fight for a regular place in the northern French and only came to 17 missions. He was denied a hit.

Gemmrich therefore returned to Alsace just another year later and played again for Racing Strasbourg . In Alsace, Gemmrich was able to fight for a regular place again. In 30 missions, however, he only got eight hits.

Therefore he changed the club. This time, however, he went to the second division and was hired at OGC Nice . With the club, Gemmrich made it to the top class. Gemmrich only managed four goals in 27 games. In the following season Gemmrich only came to four missions. In the end, they managed to stay up. After the season, Gemmrich ended his career.

National team

Gemmrich came in 1978 to five internationals for the Equipe Tricolore (two hits).
