Preliminary round

According to the format newly introduced for the 2013 season , the league was played in two phases. After the preliminary round in which all teams competed against each other twice, the league was divided into two groups: the best six teams reached the championship round , while the remaining six clubs played in the relegation round .

    The six best-placed clubs in the preliminary round reached the championship round, which was not only about the championship but also about the international places in the European Cup . The champions qualified for the Champions League and the two teams in second and third for the Europa League .
