The Wyschejschaja Liha 2012 was the 22nd season of the highest Belarusian league in men's football . It began on March 24, 2012 and ended on November 25, 2012. Promoted Partizan Minsk , who had prevailed in the relegation games against FK Vitebsk , had to retire due to financial difficulties before the start of the season and only played third rate in 2012, while the Wyschejschaja Liha exceptionally was held with only eleven teams.
Defending champion BATE Baryssau secured the seventh championship title in a row early on.

Relegation
The eleventh-placed Torpedo Schodsina played two relegation games against the second-placed FK Haradseja of Perschaja Liha after the end of the regular season . The games took place on November 29th and December 2nd. Schodsina secured with the 4-0 home win in the second leg to remain in the first division.
