history

The association was created in 2002 through the merger of the FK MTZ (Belarusian: Менскі трактарны завод " Minsk Tractor Plant ") with the FC Trudovye Rezervy-RIPO . In the founding year, the promotion from the third to the second Belarusian league succeeded, followed a year later by further promotion to the top division of the country, the Wyschejschaja Liha .

After relegation was only just avoided in the first division season in 2004, the team finished the seasons 2005 to 2008 between 3rd and 5th place. However, FK MTZ-RIPA celebrated their greatest successes so far in the Belarusian Cup , which they won in 2005 and 2008. In early 2010 the name was changed to Partizan Minsk. The 2010 league season ended the club in last place and was relegated to the second-rate Perschaja Liha . There succeeded in the 2011 season with a 2nd place and a victory in the subsequent promotion relegation against FK Vitebsk, the athletic return to the top division. However, Partizan Minsk received no first division license after the withdrawal of a main sponsor and then entered the 4th division in 2012. The club has been active in the third-class Druhaja Liha since 2013 .
