← Ligat ha'Al 2010/11

The 2011/12 Ligat ha'Al was the 13th season since it was launched under that name in 1999 and the 70th season of Israel's top division in men's football . It started on August 20, 2011 and ended on May 12, 2012.

Defending champion Maccabi Haifa only finished 5th. Champion became Hapoel Ironi Kirjat Schmona for the first time in their club history .

A. Hapoel Akko played its first home game in the Ilut Stadium, as the Akko City Stadium was under renovation.
B. Beitar Jerusalem played its home games in the Ramat Gan Stadium until November 20, 2011, when the renovation of the Teddy Kollek Stadium was completed.
C. Hapoel Petach Tikwa and Maccabi Petach Tikwa played their home games in the Ramat Gan Stadium until December 2011, when the renovation of the HaMoshava Stadium was completed.
D. Hapoel Ironi HaScharon played its home games in the winter stadium until March 2012, when the renovation of the Grundman stadium was completed.

Preliminary round

In the preliminary round, a double round was played between all 16 teams. The eight best-placed clubs then qualified for the championship round , in which the international starting positions were played out in addition to the Israeli championship. The other eight clubs played in the relegation round against relegation to the second-rate league Leumit .

    Second round

    Championship round

    The clubs in places 1-8 after the preliminary round then played for the championship. The results of all 30 preliminary round games were broadcast and only a single round was played between the eight teams. The four best-placed clubs in the preliminary round received one more home game than the other four. At the end of the round, Hapoel Ironi Kirjat Schmona was confirmed as the new champion, having already achieved a 17-point lead in the preliminary round and not giving it up.
