The Ligat ha'Al 2014/15 was the 16th season since its introduction under that name in 1999 and the 73rd season of the highest Israeli division in men's football . It was supposed to start on the weekend of August 23, 2014, but the start of the league was postponed until further notice due to the Gaza conflict . The season finally started on September 13 of that year and ended on May 30, 2015.

The defending champion was Maccabi Tel Aviv .

1Since the actual home ground, the Levita Stadium , does not meet the requirements of the league, Hapoel Ra'anana plays its home games in the Netanya Stadium.

Preliminary round

In the preliminary round, a double round is played between all 14 teams. The six best-placed clubs then qualify for the championship round, in which , in addition to the Israeli championship, the international starting positions are played out. The other eight clubs play in the relegation round against relegation to the second-rate league Leumit .

The results of all 26 preliminary round games are broadcast and only a single round is played between the eight teams. The four best-placed clubs in the preliminary round will receive one more home game than the other four. At the end of the round, the teams in ranks 13 and 14 descend into the second-class Leumit league .
