The Hapoel Ra'anana AFC ( Hebrew עמותת הפועל רעננה מחלקת כדורגל, Amutat Hapoel Ra'anana Machleket Kaduregel ) is an Israeli football club in Ra'anana .

history

The club, officially founded in 1972, played in the lowest Israeli league, the Liga Gimel , in the early 1990s . Between 1995 and 2001, however, Hapoel achieved four promotions and Ra'anana was able to establish himself in the second highest Israeli league Leumit . In 2009 Hapoel Ra'anana succeeded for the first time in the club's history to rise to the highest Israeli league , in which they were relegated in the following season as the penultimate division. After two fifth places, 2013 succeeded again in promotion to the Ligat ha'Al.
