Fredrik Gulbrandsen (born September 10, 1992 in Lillestrøm ) is a Norwegian football player .

Career

society

Gulbrandsen started his career in his hometown with Lillestrøm SK . At the age of 16, he made his professional debut in May 2009 when he came on in the 67th minute of the game against Start Kristiansand . Thus he became the youngest player to date Lillestrøms to have played a competitive game. After the end of the season he was awarded in January 2010 to the second division club Lyn Oslo . After he had only made five league appearances after his return in the summer of the same year, he was able to establish himself in the team in the following season, so Gulbrandsen scored his first goal in the Tippeligaen on matchday 15 of the 2011 season in the game against Viking Stavanger .

During the 2013 season he moved to league rivals Molde FK . After only finishing sixth in his debut season, he became Norwegian champion with Molde in 2014 . In the championship season Gulbrandsen came on ten league goals. Gulbrandsen had to sit out injured for the entire 2015 season. In November 2015 he made his comeback in the penultimate group game of the Europa League when he was used against Fenerbahçe Istanbul in the first half, but was taken out of the game at break.

In summer 2016 he left Molde and joined the Austrian champions FC Red Bull Salzburg , with whom he received a contract that was valid until June 2019.

In March 2017, it was awarded to the New York Red Bulls in the USA . He returned to Red Bull Salzburg early in June 2017.

After the 2018/19 season he left Salzburg and moved to Turkey for Istanbul Başakşehir FK , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022.

National team

Gulbrandsen came in October 2007 for the first time for a Norwegian selection when he took part in a game of the U-15 team against Turkey . Then he went through all Norwegian youth selections. In June 2013 he played for the U-21 selection for the first time . After seven appearances for the U-21 team, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in 2014 and made his international debut in a friendly against the United Arab Emirates in August of the same year .

Personal

Gulbrandsen's father Tom was also a Norwegian international.
