Alexandru Ion Epureanu (born September 27, 1986 in Cantemir , Moldovan SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Moldovan football player . He plays for the Turkish first division club Istanbul Başakşehir and in the Moldovan national soccer team. With currently 91 internationals , he is the record international player for Moldova.

Career

In the summer of 2014, Epureanu moved to the Turkish Süper Lig for newly promoted Istanbul Başakşehir .

Awards

He won the Moldovan Footballer of the Year in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2012. He played for Sheriff Tiraspol , FC Moscow and FK Dynamo Moscow . Epureanu is considered to be the most valuable Moldovan football player.

origin

Alexandru Epureanu was born in Cantemir in 1986. He grew up with his ten years older brother and eight years older sister in the neighboring town of Cirpesti. In addition to Moldovan, he also has Romanian and Russian citizenship.

family

In June 2009 he married his girlfriend. The couple had their first child on September 1, 2010 and the second on May 5, 2013.
